Balcony Gardening

When Luke and I decided to move back to the states last year, one of the things we were looking forward to was having a garden. This is how we imagined it.

And if we didn’t have a backyard (like our other twenty-something, jobless friends didn’t have), then our balcony/apartment garden would most assuredly look like this.

To give ourselves some credit, at least we didn’t drop the dream completely. While nothing has died, nothing has, as yet, flourished.

Still, we’re proud.

Hey Erin! My husband and I have a porch garden. All of our plants are piled over on one side like yours. Don’t worry about the plants; it’s still early in the season. Your garden looks great to me!

Sarah! It’s great to hear from you. Thanks for the encouragement. It’s clear to us that we know absolutely nothing about gardening. Still, it’s fun going out each morning to see if anything has happened. :) What are you and your husband growing in your garden?
