Letterpress printer, Kyle Durrie, is currently touring the country in a 1982 Chevy step van that she converted into a letterpress print shop. She says she began the project as a way to combine her two loves: printing and road trips. How neat is that?
I’m so fascinated with letterpress printing these days. There’s something poetic about the process. When we were in Atlanta looking at apartments I came across an article in Creative Loafing about an artist studio that gives letterpress classes. At the time, we were feeling quite nervous about moving to a new city, and so seeing that article was a perfectly-timed mood-lifter. Now I’m really looking forward to taking my first letterpress class.
You can request that Kyle visit your city here. Please, Kyle, won’t you come to Atlanta?
