Here, here!

“I’m the owner of the Bailey Brothers Building and Loan. You are working for Mr. Potter. And Mr. Potter is always buying.”

On his blog, J.B. Dickey, owner of Seattle Mystery Bookshop, posted an exchange of emails he’d had with an author who was wishing to sign his book in Dickey’s store. Only problem? The novel had been published by Amazon under its new crime-mystery imprint, Thomas & Mercer. Needless to say, the author got a big fat NO! The exchange is well worth a read, but all the more so if you, like us, experience a swelling in the chest every time you see an It’s A Wonderful Life allusion.

Here’s to all the other Bailey Brothers Building and Loan Booksellers out there.
