Luke came across this beautiful video from Vimeo the other day and thought the FTLOB (For the Love of Bookshops) crowd would appreciate it. I think he was right. There really is something so elegant about the old letterpress. I love how tactile it is: mixing the ink, laying out the letters and the kerning, the stained hands. It’s that hands-on, noisy, messy process of creating something beautiful that I find so appealing… much like writing on a typewriter.

What do you think? Is it not poetry in motion?
